But, rest assured, if you follow my simple steps to make your own pop-up card, you would be a professional in no time! So, let"s cut to the chase and start make these cards popping!

First, we cut out a rectangular piece of a colored paper in the size of the card that we will be making. We fold it in half, putting the two short sides together. And then make two cuts at about 1 inch (3 cm) long. The cut should appear like a flap so it should be made in from the folded edge of the card. This flap will provide you space to glue on your picture.

Now, fold the flap over on to the front and fold it on to the back of the card. Open the card and try to push the flap up toward you. Now, stick your picture on it.

You should decide carefully the picture that you want to pop up. It could be a photograph of a gift, or a name, or a heart, or anything that runs wild in your imagination. Cut it out and glue it on to the flap.

Voila! Your pop-up card is now done. You can now decorate it with all sorts of ornaments and accents that you can think of! Old buttons, beads, stickers, yarn, small shells and anything that defines your personality! You may also use  trimming scissors and glitter glue to make your cards stand out. Go ahead, let your imagination do the work.
