One of the youngest museums of the Republic of Belarus The Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts was founded in October 1997. The necessity to create such an organization appeared quite long ago and in the middle 80-ies the first steps in this direction were done. Professor V.P.Sharangovitch, National Artist of Belarus, became the Director of the Museum. Vasili Sharangovich was a tutor, teacher, the Head of the Alma Mater (Belarusian Academy of Arts) for many generations of Belarusian artists.
